A Bold tribal bead & gemstone mix that signifies the vital energy of the sun, and so this piece is called Jua - meaning sun in Swahili.
Statement, feminine & ever so slightly wild - pearls & smokey gems play with light - and keep this piece fresh, bright and alive.
Precious African Myrrh beads add a fragrant dimension to this piece - creating a heady mix to wear: hand polished, flatly rounded precious gems add to the rich ancestral heritage of these remarkably beautiful African beads.
The African tribal beads used in this collection are hand painted, & made from crushing recycled glass into fine powder where they are refashioned by melting the glass in traditional kilns.
Different bead colours and designs carry specific meanings, such as fertility, protection, and social status, and are exchanged in ceremonies as a sign of goodwill and blessings.
Wear with the clasp to the back or front - use the carabiner to link up other chains for a layered look.
